I’ve been a foodie since birth, but life threw me a curve ball when I was diagnosed as a Type 1 Diabetic at age 23, so now I write about food, keep up to date with the foodie communities in my hometown, and spend time photographing food.  Now I save the carbs for the camera.

Diabetes can be a real struggle and therefore if you are also struggling with your dumb-lousy-good for nuthin’-heap of diabetes – I’m here to tell you, I am a bonafide bolusing, basaling, and carb counting fool and I sometimes I write about being diabetic (and if you don’t know what that means then rejoice!  You’re probably not diabetic).
